Central Oregon Tax Connection- Payroll Specialist/ HR/ Bookkeeping

Payroll for over 120 Employers, to include hourly wage, salary, stipened pay, and prevailing wage. Ensure that all Job Codes are correct per each employee, to prepare accurate job cost report. Semi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll tax preparation, and payment submission for each employer. Payroll audit for each employer. Respond to all federal and state correspondence regarding 940, 941, 943, 944, State Withholding, SUTA, as well as the Workers Benefit Fund Assessment. Acquire new SUTA rates for each employer, as well as registration through the Secretary of State for new employers. Keep track of all retirement plans (i.e. 401K, Simple Plans, 403B, and PERS), as well as keep track of employee/employer paid health insurance and shareholder insurance, and PTO for all employees. BOLI (prevailing wage) reports, as needed. 1099 and W2 preparation. Quarterly reports for state through Otter. Yearly WR reporting. Quarterly 941 reporting. Workers Comp reporting, and audits. Keep up to date on all payroll laws, to make sure all clients are in compliance and aware of changes. Software used is Quickbooks, Propay, Lacerte, OPRS, EFTPS Batch system, and Practice.

I have also started up a Human Resources Division involved with the payroll department. Currently have 4 HR clients. I have kept up to date with HR laws and have attended multiple classes/seminars. I am working towards taking the exam to receive my SHRM Certificate. I have enough experience to complete the exam without needing further education.

I also do bookkeeping for a handful of clients, and keep positive relationships with all clients. As well as check individual and business tax returns.
