Delivered a range of global projects, including international money transfer modernization.
Directly coordinated development, infrastructure, quality assurance, and architecture.
Responsible for project budgeting and forecasts.
Project Manager of the Payment Flow Control (PFC) stream of the Cash and Liquidity Management (CaLM) program.
The SWIFT IT system ownership is based in London, UK, while the affected business units are in London, Malaysia, Luxembourg, Australia, and Toronto.
The CaLM program size was ~$18 Million.
PFC is a risk management system that prevents real-time SWIFT payment messages from passing out to the BESS gateway when client daily activity, as pooled across a client’s Vostro accounts, exceeds the limit set by Global Risk Management (GRM).
The project was designed to deliver multiple concurrent workstreams utilizing an iterative/hybrid SDLC methodology.
Concurrently, I also led the multiple production deployments of the Cash Management System (CMS) stream of the CaLM program.
CMS is another risk management system that provides the firm with a real-time view of liquidity in the RBC I&TS SWIFT international money transfer Nostro accounts.
Developed and executed highly detailed production run-books, including business production implementation verification (PIV).
Worked onsite in London executing one of the deployments.
In conjunction with a Luxembourg development team, successfully delivered a new pricing feed into the Canadian fund accounting system.
Agile Scrum SDLC methodology.
The initiative is saving the firm ~900k annually.
Interfaced with the Toronto-based business executive and IT resources.

Successfully delivered the Settlement Workflow Engine (SWE) Chapters 1 and 2
The delivered components allowed the Derivative Product Settlements Group to migrate the bulk of their payments business off of antiquated and error-prone paper/excel processes.
This Pega-based system managed Derivative Settlement’s SWIFT international money transfer messages and passed them out to the BESS gateway.
Introduced Agile Scrum SDLC methodology, while managing legacy infrastructure integration points.
Also acted as the Agile Scrum master leveraging Confluence and the JIRA Agile module.
Successfully delivered the RightFax Upgrade project
The project utilized Agile Scrum SDLC methodology.
The delivery modernized the software and infrastructure for the mission-critical automated global faxing platform for wholesale operations.

The key technologies were opentext rightfax, SQL server, and VMware.

Wealth Management Business Solutions had a business project management / business relationship management function, however the Salesforce.com product also allowed for full deployments to be managed from the business-side.
Owner of the design and delivery of integrated Salesforce.com implementations and improvements across the multiple business units comprising Scotia Private Client Group (SPGC), including Private Banking, Private Investment Council, and Scotia Trust.
Coordinated business analysis, development, infrastructure, architecture, quality assurance, and change management.
Managed executive steering committees.
Delivered multiple concurrent workstreams, typically utilizing a hybrid/iterative SDLC methodology.
Responsible for project budgeting and forecasts.
Defect tracking using JIRA.
Successfully delivered the CRM for SPCG Phase I project to 500 Scotia Private Client Group users across Canada.

Led a QA effort to test data adapters that converted book-of-record data files (Schwab and Advent) to the native odyssey standard interface format.
Researched and developed a unix utility to scrub production oracle odyssey databases of all ‘financial’ information.
The key technologies were oracle SQL, solaris unix, web interfaces, and Cognos reporting.

County of Haliburton – Broadband Outreach Program

Broadband Outreach Coordinator (Contract)
Led the Broadband Outreach Program, which was an Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) mandated component of the Rural Connects broadband network deployment.
The Rural Connects program allowed the County of Haliburton, in conjunction with various private partners and OMAFRA, to deliver broadband internet to approximately 4500 homes and businesses.
The Broadband Outreach Program sought to help individuals and small businesses make best use of the new broadband technologies.
Lines of communication were opened up to the general public regarding broadband coverage within the County of Haliburton; this included radio interviews, press releases and coverage, and personal contact.
Speeches were delivered to interested/affected organizations reaching approximately 900 constituents.
A full curriculum was developed to aid individuals and small businesses utilize web technology; this was delivered through the Fleming College Haliburton Campus.
