Project Description:

The Farmers Insurance Company has partnered with TCS testing team to test integration of implementation with external systems interacting with Guide-wire based Policy Center system and claim center system to manage different policy-cycle LOBs & Claim cycle LOB’S.

The Guide-wire implementation comprises of 7 Releases based on different LOBs and this will be carried out in 5 Iterations in each and every Release phase. The new Policy Administration system will comprise of Guide-wire Policy Center application & GWCC which will interact with multiple other systems.

This is a transformation project as Farmers Insurance intends to roll-out the HEART policy administration system (mainframe based system) which Farmers is currently using across states business.

The Scope of engagement for TCS is to understand the business requirements of different LOBs with its policy &Claim life-cycle across states that Farmers currently conducts business. Creating test cases on the basis of business requirements and executing it on its integration implemented with other external systems.

Guidewire Operational Data Store (GW ODS) provides a common repository for policy center and claim center that is optimized for business usage. Guidewire CC/CM generates XML messages into MQ based on the business events and messages are loaded through Informatica ETL into claims ODS stage layer

Nature of Work:

Identified data streams and reviewed data models for testing strategies.

Preparing the test data for risk adjustment by extracting, and merging from different tables using SQL.

Once data is migrated to guidewire claim center DB we will ensure that data is loaded properly to Db and make some additional transactions through guidewire UI and check whether it is updated properly in ODS Base.

We will analyze the XML messages generated by GWCC and ensure that data is loading properly into stage DB.

From the acquisition and staging of data, storing records within the data warehouses historical archive and transforming the data for loading into target tables by running Work flows Jobs in informatica.

Good at analyzing work flow jobs in Informatica using designer, work flow manager and monitor.

Identified defects and errors in data prior to data processing.

Collaborated with guidewire claim center and Data Migration team to identify the issues.

Preparing test data required to test few defects according to the scenario.

Participated in daily status meetings, and conducting internal and external reviews with consent teams and documenting the proceedings.

Conducted Knowledge transfer sessions for new joiner.
