Title: Working of the Fuel Injection system in a 16-Cylinder Railway Engine. Description: The main aim of this internship is to study the working of fuel injection system employed in INDIAN railways which normally contains a 16-cylinder diesel engine.

KMT WATERJET: (October 2016-January 2017)

Academic Project

Title: Project on simulation of the velocity of water jet when the jet is exited in to air Description: Studied the existed types of pure waterjets and improved its capability to have greater force when the pure water jet hits the material at different standoff distances when the material is placed in and out of the water tank. Different designs of pure water jets are been proposed and the best and optimized was being selected based on company norms. The model was created with prescribed dimensions given by the company and simulation has been performed in different software’s. In this project, modelling and simulation has been done only for the pure water jet when it was kept at a distance of 0.5 to 5 mm from the object and the model was really successful. Software’s: ABAQUS CFD, 2D&3D AutoCAD, Autodesk inventor and Ansys CFD.

MASTER THESIS (June 2017-January 2018)

Design and Analysis of a Shipping container made of Honeycomb Sandwich Panels. Description: Designed a 20ft standard dry container and replaced with honeycomb sandwich panels made of different material combinations helps in increasing the payload of the container. The model has been created in ISO standards. Standards from different companies have been considered to model a different and most optimized container. The forces and constraints are considered in respect to real time applications. Only static analysis has been performed, as the shipping container will mostly be used in static conditions. FEA has been performed using Autodesk Inventor and the simulation has been performed. The project has been considered for the product development laboratory in Blekinge institute of technology, Sweden. A payload of extra 10% that is approximately 300 kg can be shipped using this model.
