PRESENT
Dean Faculty of Dentistry and Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery: (November 2013 - upto date) Foundation University College of Dentistry, DHA-I, Islamabad, Pakistan. I was appointed first Dean of this institution. So complete process of faculty hiring, curriculum development, infra-structure provision, equiprment purchase, and Pakistan Medical & Dental Council insepections and approval was carried out under my supervision and guidance. The Institution has developed good reputition in short time and has highest merit amongst eight dental institutions in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Supervisory & Exam Duties - 2011 – up to date. Approved postgraduate training supervisor and examiner of College of physicians and surgeons of Pakistan. Have supervised 18 postgraduate trainees and four of them have completed the training with two passed their final exam of FCPS. I also supervised their research projects. Some of them are under process for publication.

Four postgraduate trainees have passed FCPS Degree, which is highest qualification in clinical disciplines of medicine and dentistry.
Faculty member of Life Saver Foundation of Shifa Interantional Hospital, Islamabad for teaching of Basic Life Support approved courses based on Americal Heart Association guidelines. Regularly carried out Basic Life Support courses for all grades of health care providers incuding medical and dental students.

This depertment was developed substantially and got approved by College of physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan for FCPS training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dental Implantology centre was established in the department and first time this speciality was included in FCPS training pathway.

Worked very closely with postgraduate tutor and deputy dental dean of the region. Fully took part in teaching programes of the hospital and dental education. Waiting list of patients was brought down from 6 months to 6 weeks.

Specialist Registrar has the main responsibility of all in patients management and care. Actively participate in pre / post operative clinics and all operations. Second on call 1:3 rota and carry out all sorts of emergency treatment. This post has provided me substantial experience in all aspects and disciplines of the specialty. Member Deans Committee Foundation University, Islamabad: This is highest Academic forum to make academic, managerial and financial policies of University.
Member Academic Council of Foundation University, Islamabad: This council decides about the academic programs of University.
Head of Board of Studies and Faculty – FUCD: Responsible for Syllabus and curriculum application. It also decides the internal and external examiners for dentistry.
Head of Examination Committee for Dentistry – FUCD: Responsible for assuring the quality control of the exams and progress. Submitting the results to the faculty council.
Member of Admission, registration and Academic Advising Committee: Study the student’s application forms and files. Allocate the academic advisor for each student enrolled in the dental faculty. Train and support the advisors in solving student’s problems.
Member of Curriculum Development Committee: It has following responsibilities.
Assessment and updating the curriculum. Presently committee is working to make it integrated and modular. Maintains the course files with review and update the study plan.
Member of Integrated Hospital Coordination Committee: The committee performs the following duties:
Assuring the quality of patients’ services. Clinical training of under and post graduate students.

Regular Course on “How to prepare for FCPS/MDS Exam” This course is run every six months at Foundation University College of Dentistry, It caryy varifies CPD hours.
Hands on workshops on Dental implants: Oct 8th& 9th 2011 at Maroof Hospital, F10/3 Islamabad. 15th & 16th October 20011 at Istitute of dental Implants in Gulraiz Colony, Rawalpindi.
Hands on workshop on “Orientation and surgical protocol for implant surgery”: April 2011 at Islamic Int’l Dental College, Islamabad.
Instructor for BLS and run quarterly course at Islamic Int’l dental college ISB in collaboration with Life Saver Foundation, shifa Int’l Hospital, islamabad.

Chair Scientific Committee: Eleventh conference of Pakistan Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons – 21st to 25th Nov 2018. This is combined effort of Foundation University College of Dentistry and Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry, Rawalpinid. There were more than 20 international speakers came from Europe, USA, Middle East, Turkey and other countries. I was given responsibilities of organising Scientific Programs (Lectures, Posters, table clinics etc) and arrangement of International and national Speakers.

Aesthetic Laser Surgery: 15 & 16 Nov, 1997, A practical course on Laser Skin Resurfacing, Blepharoplasty, Vascular Lesions, Facial Telangiectasia, Tattoo, Small Leg veins. The course is recognized by Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Advanced Trauma Skills Course: 11 to 13 July 1997 at Birmingham University, UK. Emergency Management of severely traumatized patient. Teaching involved Lectures, Cadaver demonstrations/practical and Live situation assessment.

Osseointegration Implant Course (Branemark System). (November 1994) OSSEOINTEGRATION IMPLANT SYSTEM organized by Nobelpharma at Eastman Institute of Dental Surgery, Gray's inn Road, London.
Maxillofacial Reconstructive Prosthetics. One year (twelve hours a week, 1992-93) practical training course at the Dept of Maxillofacial technology, Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Health Care Sciences, was successfully passed with 1st position.
RESEARCH
Clinical Research Fellow. Part-time Clinical Research Fellow (November 1994 - July 1995) Maxillofacial & Microbiology Research Laboratories at Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Health Care Sciences, University of London. This work provided me a good knowledge about oral microbiology and detection of various oral commensals and pathogens.
Etiology of Osteomyelitis. "Surface Associated Material from Staphylococcus aureus stimulate TRAP+ve Multinucleated cells generation in Mouse bone marrow cultures and cause bone resorption in osteomyelitis". This study was done with Prof/Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department (M. Harris), Prof/Head of Maxillofacial research laboratory (B. Henderson) & Senior Lecturer (Dr. S. Meghji), Eastman Institute for Oral Health Care Sciences, University of London.
Osteonecrosis of jaw bones and use of Bisphosphonates: Clinical study was carried out in UK. Two papers puplished.
An evaluation of dental curriculum and teaching strategies in Pakistan: This pakistan wide study is underway and hopefully results will be published soon.
Many studies and audits were carried out and supervised.
