• Developed maintenance inspection programs for offshore assets including: pressure vessels, tanks, pressure relief valves, critical piping, topside structural, pipelines, and cathodic protection systems.
• Designed and managed installation of new cathodic protection system to better monitor corrosion activity on internal and external wall of DOT shipping pipeline. Worked with contractors and engineering firms to develop a system that best fit the company needs. Completed project 4 months early and 30% under budget. Coordinated and reported activity to six state and federal agencies.
• Managed $25 million Cathodic protection retrofit of three offshore oil platforms, using both impressed current and sacrificial anodes principles. Developed scope of work, researched original CP system that was installed on platforms to see where the deficiencies were. Project was completed 1 month ahead of schedule and more than $250,000 under budget.
• Redesigned Launcher and receiver pipes to prevent contamination into the ocean. Slashed project cost by utilizing existing platform structures and equipment. The design increased the safety of workers and decreased the man hours to perform their duties.
• Regulatory Compliance manager, worked closely with the California Coastal Commission, Port of Long Beach, city of Long Beach, BSEE, State Lands commission and the Army Corps of Engineers on various projects.
