Work Experience:

January 2003-March 2019: Senior Operator, Fuels 2 A & B ExxonMobil Billings Refinery, which entailed seven (7) operating units. As part of a team-based model, we ensured safe operations on a rotating shift basis. We implemented and employed ExxonMobil policies, procedures, and practices during routine and emergency operations. Part of my duties were mentoring newer and less experienced operators.

October1998 - January 2003: Plant Technician, Rosebud Operating Services, Billings, MT waste petroleum coke power plant. ExxonMobil was majority owner. Employed safe operating practices and procedures while completing tasks, working closely with the control room. Ensured boiler feed water met operating criteria. Responsible for two 1500# boilers and associated equipment; including, but not limited to turbine/generator, feed water pumps, water polishing and treating systems and boiler draft fans. Communication being key to safe, reliable operations.

July 1995 - October 1998. B Operator Texaco Refining and Marketing at El Dorado, KS. Worked three zones on the complex on a rotational schedule. Fluidized Catalytic Cracking, FCC, Vapor Recovery Unit, VRU and 6 600 # boilers, which were fired with refinery fuel gas and CO. Completed monitoring and unit tasks in a safe manner employing Texaco safe-work policies, procedures and best practices.

Education:

Bismarck Junior College, Bismarck, ND: 1994 - 1995. Associates Degree in Power Plant and Process Plant Technologies. Maintained a 4.0 GPA while completing degree, completed degree in one year.

My strongest points are my ability to work within a team-oriented structure. I have strong backgrounds in communications, safe, efficient operations utilizing safe work practices, policies, and procedures; during routine and abnormal operations. I’m an active participant in safety talks, team meetings and mentor less experienced operators in safe and efficient operations. During my past employment I’ve stepped up into several roles; turnaround permit writer, safety officer on special projects and turnarounds and refinery HAZ-OP studies. While at Texaco & ExxonMobil, I was a member of the refinery Emergency Response Team, I have extensive safety, fire and oil spill training.
