PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
METHODS ANALYST I (MANUFACTURING ENGINEER) September 2018 - Present Corrective Action Team and ANDON – Global 5500/6500 (GX Aerostructures) Bombardier Aviation, Downsview, Toronto, Ontario
• Develop manufacturing plans and tooling requirements based on the product strategy, develop resource plans and forecasted production rate in a unionized environment.
• Conduct time and motion study to calculate tool build time using AutoMOST.
• Perform design reviews using CATIA V5 and deliver technical presentations on manufacturing plans.
• Responsible for planning, sequencing, and maintaining methods instructions, manuals and Production Visual Aids
(PVA) as per Methods Change Request (MCR) using SAP ERP for major and final assemblies.
• Generate requests, parts list, assembly sequence and condition of supply information. Liaise with all departments in order to resolve in-house and vendor technical problems and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities.
• Investigate, analyze, and provide corrective actions by conducting RCCA (using tools such as Gantt chart, Fishbone diagram, 5S, 5-Why, and DMAIC) to resolve acute and chronic production issues related to processes and tooling.
• Incorporate engineering dispositions using Request For Change (RFC) into First Article Inspection (FAI) to restore non-conformity (NCR) to the originally designed product integrity and quality.
• Innovate and develop new laser shoot strategies for operations to extract fuselage symmetry data taking as per technical documents. Investigate the gathered data and present project progress report on weekly-basis to Bombardier’s Montreal site (our customer) against milestones.
• Develop innovative processes for angular measurements, linear displacements and profile straightness using calibrated tools like Stick Micrometer and Straight-edge. TRIYA VADGAMA 2 P a g e
Mold Designer February 2017 – August 2018
Build-A-Mold (The Plasman Group), Windsor, Ontario
• Interfaced with major automobile industry stakeholders on new product programs and current product modifications.
• Designed plastic-injection molds using CATIA V5 for master moldable parts, preliminary, semi-final and final molds.
• Developed and modified Engineering Changes (ECs) for in-house and outsource designs.
• Incorporated part concessions into surface or solid part data for changes as required.
• Created Green Sheet data for comparison of new and old files and identified all changes as per request.
• Complied designs with customer standards, part prints and knowledge of GD&T.
• Transmitted information using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to customers and suppliers.
• Reviewed mold flow, cooling and warp analysis (using Autodesk MoldFlow) for tooling feasibilities/concepts.
• Collaborated with Buyer for purchase of Injection Manifolds, Plaques, Tool ID Tags and Bill of Material (BOM).
• Understanding of equipment in integrated manufacturing technology to design End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) files. Research Assistant March 2016 – June 2016
University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
• Area of Research: Turbulence and Energy - Experimental Measurements and Numerical Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Simulation.
• Performed closed-loop wind-tunnel experiments to analyze effects of adding smooth circular ribs near the trailing edge of a 3D symmetrical airfoil wing (NACA 0015) to study aerodynamics, boundary layer, and evaluate lift force.
• Experimentally investigated using the ATI Six-Axis Force/Torque Data Acquisition (DAQ) system load cell.
• Scrutinized parameters such as lift force, drag force, force due to vortices, coefficient of lift, coefficient of drag corresponding to freestream velocity of 10 m/s (measured using Dwyer Pitot tube) at various angle of attacks for the airfoil without ribs and for the airfoil with the ribs (positive and negative angle of attacks).
• Examined the existence of stall and wing-tip vortices for the ribbed airfoil formed due to turbulence generated by the interference of ribs with on the airfoil with the freestream flow. EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
