Who I am and what I can do for you and your team:
My career has had a broad spectrum of responsibilities from starting out as a painter’s helper to a Foreman running high rise apartment jobs and working on secure government sites. I have been cleared by both the Federal and State government to work on sites in Maryland, DC and Virginia.
I am experienced with all aspects of the field including new and old techniques; vintage finishes as well as specialty finishes and coatings. I am a responsible trustworthy employee who always looks for an opportunity to make work run faster, smoother and more cost efficient for the company while maximizing profitability. I have over 25 years of progressive management experience in the commercial paint industry, managing both interior & exterior projects and would love to bring all my skills and training to your company as an addition to an already impressive organization.

1988 - 2006
I started by working summers while in high school; I began as a helper and progressively gained more responsibility. I learned how to sand. Putty, spackle and paint as a helper and then apprentice painter. By 1992 I was a more experienced painter with spraying capabilities.
In 1992 I was promoted to foreman. I gained experience with special coatings such as texture, polymix, zolatone, duraplex, direct to metal, aquaflec, concrete stain while with this company

2007 – 2008, 2011 - 2012
I began working for this company as foremen due to my prior experience. I ran work that involved historic building restoration in downtown D.C. such as the District Court of Appeals. I also ran work at Northern Bethesda Center, which is a 27 floor Luxury apartment building in Rockville, Md. On this job I worked with over six superintendents at one time and managed over 40 men including painters and helpers. This job required and excellent attention to detail and constant supervision of all work being done in order to maintain a high standard of satisfaction. Another job that I was on includes the King Street Arts Center - 2007.
I returned to the company once there was a need for my position again. I left on good terms with management to seek a new opportunity with NLP. While with the company I was in charge of managing a substantial crew to include directing them to their assigned job locations as well as monitoring their time and workmanship.

My job at this company included managing crews of sub - contractors at different sites and ensuring that their work was completed both at the level required and in a timely fashion. I fielded all questions, concerns and requests. At one point I was managing three different sites at one time located in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia. Jobs that I oversaw included: The Clarendon Center, View 14 and a job in National Harbor.

2013 –2016
I went to meet with a Representative of the company and was hired as a foreman the same day. I have so far worked on jobsites to include the FDA property in Silver Spring, Md and the US Navy Yard which both required my security clearance to enter the site. I am always interested in expanding my duties, responsibilities and education in the field and welcome all opportunities offered me. While working for NLP I have been responsible maintaining regular & consistent communication with company management regarding job progress and troubleshooting any issues that may arise in the completion process.
2016 – Current
Upon my separation from NLP for medical purposes I became a stay at home Dad and support for my household as my Wife was caring for her terminally ill Grandmother. I am currently looking to hit the restart button on my career and look forward to becoming an integral part of your team.
