1. Title: Experimental evaluation of rubber seed oil-diesel blend in a compression ignition engine. B.E Final Year Project

Abstract: Fossil fuels are the major source for energy all over the world. These are non-renewable resources and gets exhausted and this results in global warming so we need to find alternate method to overcome it. In India, especially southern states has largest rubber plantation. Rubber seed oil is non- edible and cannot be used for any purpose. So by blending rubber seed oil it with diesel at different ratios, we can get better efficiency and reduce the cost. From our research we have found that B10(90% Diesel,10% Biodiesel) has better yield over other blends. This project was selected for JNANASANGAMA-2018 NATIONAL CONFERENCE, which was held in Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur.

Extracurricular:

• Represented the college in inter-college national level project exhibition at

“JNANASANGAMA-2018 NATIONAL CONFERENCE” held in Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology.

• Actively participated in intra-college technical paper presentations.
