Company: Rexroth Bosch Centre of Excellence in Automation Technology. Field: Industrial training on PLC, sensors, Pneumatics and Hydraulics. Description: During this course of 4 weeks; reading, understanding, designing/ re-designing of PLC integrated hydraulic and pneumatic circuits by providing a hands on experience. The course also gives clear theoretical insight about valves, actuators, pumps, motors and switching circuits of fundamental type and that are widely operated in industries.

Result: Starting with simple circuits to those which are operated in industries were executed. For reporting, 3 sequential controlling movement of actuators which includes timers are carried out Electro-Pneumatically integrated with PLC. These experiences are serving in knowing the background of the field and enhanced the ability to apply the knowledge. PROJECT

1. Automatic Braking System Using Ultrasonic Waves; Bachelor’s degree project.

Objective: Day by day as the vehicular population is increasing the chances of accidents are also high and uncertain. These accidents may be caused by improper timing in applying the brakes. This project is concerned to stop the vehicle automatically using ultrasonic sensors and electrical circuits.

Overview: Ultrasonic sensor generates a signal which is transmitted; and receives the same after detecting a solid object. The reflected wave is fed to the ultrasonic wave generator unit in which the incoming wave is amplified and compared with reference signals to maintain a constant ratio. Further this signal is fed to microcontroller for the working of DC gear motor and Servomotor which results in application of brakes.

Outcome: The prototype is prepared depicting the technology and tested as per the simulated conditions. In future the actual model may be developed depending on its feasibility. Technical Skills
