Home Instead Senior Care 2010 – 2012

Provide basic care to individuals who cannot care for themselves in long-term and or short-term recovery. Taking vital signs, assisting with medications, using the restrooms, bathing, dressing, house cleaning, and light cooking. Social interaction is a must and part of a key factor in the wellbeing of the individuals.

ILC 2016 – 2018

Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities that are either seeking competitive employment and/or currently employed in the community. Must provide person-centered support to meet the needs of the people we supported within the work environment. Moved up in positions from a DSP, Job Coach, Assistant Manager, then Supportive Services Manager with 12 staff and over 25 special needs individuals case loads.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting job analysis to identify job duties

• Developing specific plans to best assist the people we support in being as independent as possible (which includes teaching self-management strategies, comprehending job expectations and workplace policies)

• Provided day to day opportunities which support and guide current and future employees in achieving goals

• Teach Job Coaches how to model productive behavior as well as teach life improving and daily skills.
