Key Areas of Experience & Competencies

I have been teaching English in Saudi Arabia for the past two years. I have served, for two years, as teacher and curriculum advisor and for a year as institute manager for The Study Cloud, which provides an online tutorial portal for a wide array of learning areas including English language, along with in-house and on-site face-to-face multi-faceted tuition. I tutored, assisted and assessed students in various areas of language learning. Further, I have taught English as an additional language at Talk English Durban for two years. I see myself as amiable and learners warm to me without delay. To me learners are people, rather than just students and they have varying needs and motivations. I am able to detect learners’ needs in terms of their multiple intelligences, learning styles and first language interference.

Computer Skills:

I am competent with Microsoft Office programs. I have a typing speed of 35 words per minute on average, and I am adept at sourcing information from various electronic media. I have no qualms about using the latest technology; in the same vein, I am able to make do with what is available, as long as I can create and sustain a productive and holistic learning environment for my learners.

RE: Mohamed Imran Osman

Letter of Recommendation

The Study Cloud (Pty) Ltd is an institution that places high emphasis on developing learning curricula for Grades R – 12. We specialise in all subjects and therefore require academic heads of department in each subject, in order to maintain our endorsements with the South African Department of Education. Having these standards at the root of our institution, The Study Cloud will only accept employees whose calibre surpasses excellence.

Mr Mohamed Imran Osman had been with us since March 2013 to March 2016. He is now back with us. This recommendation is issued at his request with the hope that he stays on with us. However, should he decide to move on in his career, we can only wish him well. Mohamed has become a part of our core advisory committee for his excellent service record as well as his ability to broaden our subject base by being an official at the South African Translators’ Institute. These skills, accompanied by his ability to communicate on all levels, have allowed him to mentor our English teachers into developing content that was apt for Grade R through to Grade 12..

In an organisation that is required to perform at optimum level at any given time, it is imperative that the staff synchronise information between each other which requires a high level of social interaction. Mr Osman has, on many occasions, excelled in this as his people skills have been demonstrated during curriculum changeovers such as the recent OBE to CAPS that required a complete redefining of our systems through many late nights. As a result of such commitment, The Study Cloud has seen exponential growth in the languages division and we are certain that we will continue to see growth under the administration of Mr Osman. Work Ethic is one of the key components to a successful company; however, it is strong family values that are the key component to a well-honed individual. This shows in all aspects of interaction with Mr Osman, from simple tasks to complex collaborations.

Should you require any further information, please feel free to contact me.

To Whom It May Concern

Mr. Mohamed Osman has been working for ILEI / ITQAN College since March 28, 2017 as an English Language teacher. Mohamed is a capable teacher who held the respect and good will of his colleagues and developed excellent working relationships with his trainees. Trainees hold Mohamed Osman in high esteem and work hard to please him. He is an intrinsically motivated individual and is willing to try new ideas and strategies. I endorse his application for any similar teaching role.

To whom it may concern

I am Julie Douglas who co-founded Talk English, an organisation that provides English lessons gratis to those who need them ( ). We are staffed by qualified and experienced educators who are well known for their excellent teaching skills and resourcefulness in the classroom.

Mohamed responded to our need for educators to teach English to our refugee groups. He joined us in early 2014 and has been a regular and generous member since then, teaching our Beginner class. His teaching skills have increased considerably since he joined us. He recently undertook a CELTA course which, together with his BA in English and Arabic, and his teaching experience equip him with an excellent professional status to teach in any context. He is a highly diligent and well organised teacher whose lessons are always well-prepared and effective, always giving more than expected. He is respected and popular with both our other teachers and his students, and we all see in him a most friendly and congenial personality that will be an asset to any institution or school. Mohamed has been a true asset to Talk English. We will be very sad to see him leave; however, we all wish him well and I have no hesitation in recommending him for any TEFL or TESOL teaching position.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.
