-Winner of the first “Breakthrough Thinker” competition held by Sri Lanka Telecom in 2006 for the innovative design of extremely low cost Telephone Line Monitoring device, called “Magic Line” & Won a trip to Japan and a special "breakthrough thinking course under breakthrough thinking guru Dr. Hibino at Chukyo University, Toyota, Japan.
-Winner of the Repair Jig Design Competition held by “SONY Gulf” in 1998 for the design of a low cost repair jig that is extremely useful in repairing of SONY MHC series domestic audio entertainment systems.
