Shire / Baxalta (Insight Global) Vernon Hills, IL Jun 2016 – Dec 2016

Baxalta was a biopharmaceutical company founded on 1 July 2015 after its parent company, Baxter International, spun off biopharmaceutical division with revenue of $6 billion. Baxalta inherited all of its parent company's on-the-market treatments, focused on hemophilia. The company aims to launch 20 in-development projects by 2020. Baxalta also acquired SuppreMol (a German company) for US$225 million and acquired the blockbuster leukemia drug Oncaspar from Sigma-Tau Finanziaria S.p.A. for US$900 million. In January 2016, after 6 months of negotiations, the company agreed to be acquired by Shire for $32 billion. The transaction was completed on June 3rd 2016.

Designed, developed, and executed a schedule to migrate 6 Large Offices (200-1500 users per site) and 17 Manufacturing sites (400-2500 users per site) from the company’s parent company (Baxter) to an intermediate and independent stand-alone company (Baxalta) in preparation for integration with the company’s new parent company (Shire). Managed and assured outsourced hardware integration company’s (Dimension Data) compliance with enterprise standards related to network hardware refresh for LAN and WAN upgrades. Managed network vendor activities related to circuit sizing and defined characteristics.

Assured integration vendor fulfilled SOW delivery requirements comprised of activity documentation (site surveys, LAN and WAN diagrams, equipment room elevation drawings, before and after photos, and wireless access point (WAP) locations and heat maps) and schedules. Managed and assured internal quality documentation requirements were fulfilled in support of infrastructure qualification, to include network and wireless infrastructures.

Coordinated with remote-site management to assure down-time schedules would be capable of accommodating the hardware upgrades and network transitions.
