Responsibilities

I was an investigator my duties were to receive dockets from community service center I use to sign for the dockets there do initial investigation and take them to the detectives office where I would enter them into a register called crime control register from there dockets will be handed to a supervisor or commander for him to allocate dockets to members of the detectives unit for further investigation .when I received my dockets for further investigation I would read my dockets to get to acetain if the charges were correctly put in the docket and if the elllements of crime clearly specified .I will therefore call the complainant or visit him/her and interview the complainant the complainant will identify the witnessed to me if any of which I will also interview and obtain statements .when the suspect has been identified I would arrest him/her charged him/her accordingly I would detain the suspect or emmidietely send the suspect to court .I will give evidence in court oppose bail; I always tried had to secure good convictions .I attended minor and serious crime scenes at the crime scene I would preserve the crime scene I would arrange for the other aids if necessary eg photographer ;airing ;fingerprints ;experts ; mortuary personnel or pathologist as well as informers I would also conduct identification parades.

Accomplishments

I have managed to secure a number of maximum sentances which is about five life sentence on murder and rape cases . I have maintain good solving rate which co tributed on crime reduction in my area of investigation I have also received commendations from the minister of safety and security . I have also maintain good relationship with my colleagues and the management Skills Used

I have a good leadership skills which helped me lead junior members to performing more than I did I was afforded a chance of being an acting branch commander of which i performed very well. I also have a good communication skills . which I used to maintain a good relationship with other stake holders in my field
