Worked various temporary jobs, primarily secretarial in nature, with the longest assignment working for a company called Maximus, where we worked together with the Alabama Department of Human Relations (DHR) in order to assist them in passing their Title IV-E audit, which they previously failed. My title was that of Document Retrieval Specialist/Supervisor wherein I was responsible for conducting eligibility determinations for children under the care of DHR. I constructed new files and examined existing files for information concerning the children under the care of the Alabama DHR system, obtained missing or misplaced documents, entered data into a tracking system and developed and monitored quality assurance plans. I further coordinated and carried out monitoring the progress made by the staff in accordance with quality management plans and schedules. I was responsible for providing division managers with updates on all issues regarding quality, coordinated and carried out quality-monitoring tools for each production department involved in the project; coordinated document retrieval from on-site visits from all counties in Alabama, and coordinated with county DHR representatives in relation to obtaining documents missing from files. The outcome of the project was that the State of Alabama passed the Title IV-E Federal Audit. This assignment lasted approximately 9 months.
