Position reported directly to the VP of Operation located at the Deerfield, IL headquarters.

Reduced operating expense of the facility in the area of fixed and controllable overhead expenses in excess of $800K .

Developed leadership team into Lean oriented managers focused on value stream analysis and waste minimization.

Implemented Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) into the facility reducing overall unscheduled machine downtime by 56%.

Focused plant operations on excellence by focusing functional area leadership on key process indicators (KPI) driving improvement through team-based initiatives.

Increased net operational profit from 29% to 36% in eleven months generating 1.6 million in profit above 2006 earnings by developing strong support for the Sales organization.

Position was responsible for the management of manufacturing operations in extruded, converted, and engineered protective foam products. This position had four (4) direct reporting manufacturing supervisors. Responsible for implementing the corporate-wide Lean Manufacturing initiatives facility-wide across multiple departments. Position reported directly to the Plant Manager with dotted line reporting to the Corporate Lean Manufacturing Director.

Reduced operating expenses in excess of 1.2 million dollars for fiscal 2006 through application of Lean Manufacturing process improvements conducted in a variety of Kaizen events.

Recruited and developed three (3) new shift supervisors to manage operations on a daily basis in the extrusion and converting departments.

Conducted facility- wide training in Lean Manufacturing principles.

Participated in sister facility Lean assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.

P&L responsibility for operating expenses as well as direct labor cost targets.

Responsible for the development of a new management team and integration of Lean Manufacturing practices and procedures into a distressed organization. This position reported directly to the President and COO of the organization. This position had six (6) direct reporting managers.

Reynolds Food Packaging – ALCOA – Visalia, CA

A Fortune 100, multi-national corporation manufacturing food-packaging containers for the consumer and agriculture market place. The Visalia facility was acquired by ALCOA in July of 2002 as part of the overall Reynolds Food Packaging acquisition. The facility formally operated under the IVEX Corporation.
