PALLET CONSULTANTS, Dunn, NC July 2019 to December 2019

Operations Manager/Plant Start-up Supervisor

I was employed to be Operations Manager for new plant in Charlotte, NC, which was going through final approval of purchase. Start-up would be within my 90-day training period. I spent time in Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA, and then Dunn, NC, where I was assigned until Charlotte plant opened. I worked with Dunn’s General Manager as we upgraded the Dunn facility while I was there.

Established new, more efficient inventory system; rearranged parts storage area for easier access by employees.

Conducted regular safety training; daily safety and quality meetings with employees.

Reviewed and corrected any safety concerns found during daily plant inspections.

Interviewed and recommended hiring new employees; discharged any employee not performing to company standards.

Focused on continuous improvement of employee processes.

Prepared employee scheduling logs and payroll data.

During my short time with Pallet Consultants, I was encouraged to troubleshoot any issues affecting production efficiency, found successful solution in each case.

Responsible for Security, Sales, and ordering materials and equipment as needed.

I was responsible for shipping and receiving of products, daily shipping and receiving logs. Ensure DOT requirements met. Confirmed all required maintenance of vehicles.

Supervised all upgrades made to the plant, new machines, security cameras, fencing and lighting, etc., while production being made.

All these assignments were given in preparation for responsibilities at new plant in Charlotte, which unfortunately did not occur. I can explain more when contacted by interested employers.
