Project: Strategic Banking System (SBS) application is the intra-day balance engine for the retail and commercial banks for a variety of product types. SBS has a significant number of account system interfaces whereby beginning day balances are received, and memo posts are processed against those accounts throughout the day. SBS’s IMS database houses information regarding almost all the different types of account applications like Deposit, of the JP Morgan Chase Bank. SBS maintains intra-day account balance for a variety of accounts/products. Online applications such as Customer Assist and 3270 utilize CIS services to establish and open accounts, inquire on account name, address and other monetary information. The batch framework processes data feeds from various accounting systems in order to open and maintain or refresh account information. SBS also handles the process of preparing the PSBGEN and creating new database areas and providing access to these databases. SBS is part of the enterprise wide releases that happen thrice a year and involve major changes to the SBS functionality in coordination with various impacted channels. Project Activities involve maintenance of the various online and batch processes and optimizing the cost of development and maintenance of SBS applications.
