Solve problems for new startup Welding, Heat Treat and Assembly Cells. Modify automated welding programs GTAW and PAW welding cells. Install new welding systems and solve welding problems for production. Maintain update and revise all WPS, PQR and WPQ to AWS D17.2, ASME Section IX and other customer specifications such as Rolls Royce, NASA, Boeing and others. Consulting on Resistance welding problems for the new startup of welding and assembly cells. Modify robotic welding programs welding cells. Install new welding systems and solve problems with welding controllers. Setup Procedures for GMAW and RSW problems on new welding cells. Improve quality on all welding and robotic cells. Recommend improvements for Sub Assembly resistance welders. Modify tooling using Auto- Cad to locate part for Projection welding to improve assembly and quality. Setup a training class and instruct employees how to prepare, and evaluate a cross-section of weld.

Welding Engineer Multiple Companies Automotive MI: Welding Engineer July 1997 - August 2000. Update welding equipment while providing technical supervision of the building of automated GMAW welding equipment for automotive components. Assigned to the Continues Improvement department, to improve quality, cost, personal and welding problems. Set up welding equipment for first time run, GMAW, resistance and stacked resistance welding. Set up first run on Welding robots and rotary assembly cells for production.

AETNA IND. Warren, MI: Welding Engineer July 1996 - July 1997 Updated welding equipment wrote procedures. Supervised the building of automated welding equipment for use in the building of automotive components from prototype to production. Justified, investigated, purchased, tested and over-saw the installation of new equipment for GMAW, GTAW and resistance welding systems. Worked on a team with Chrysler Corp. on the design and build of new car platforms. Aided in the design of welding and assembly fixtures. Wrote schedules for welding production. Setup first run on ABB robots, rotary and in line assembly systems for production.

STEELPRO, INC., Rockland, ME: Project Manager/Manufacturing Engineer/Welding Engineer, Temp-position October 1993 – May 1995 Updated welding equipment, wrote welding procedure to ASME sec. IX, Cad Design, and Personnel Manager. Designed and developed new welding procedures ASME code, set up a computerized welding system for various alloys for the Pressure Vessel Industry. Set up a training program to improve welding and instruct and test operators in welding. Justified, investigated, purchased and tested equipment.

FAIRBANKS SCALES, INC., St. Johnsbury, VT: Supervisor, Welding Engineer April 1991 – April 1993 Updated equipment to improve department quality and costs. Increased welding production by 200% Using robotic welding system. Implemented the transfer of a Robotic welding system to Mississippi; oversaw installation and setup, and trained operators. Designed and developed new welding programs to improve welding. Supervised the welding department and set up a training program to train operates quality improvement. Worked to AWS welding specifications. Tested new equipment for welding. Develop and implement cost reduction and efficiency measures.

Develop test and qualify welding procedures. Solved production problems (welding & brazing) processes for various alloys for the Aerospace Industry. Tested, justified, investigated, purchased, and oversaw the installation of new equipment. Developed and implemented cost reduction and production efficiency measures, resulting in 50% scrap reduction. Wrote process sheets & developed new assembly methods, oversaw a method engineer. Estimated and quoted tooling for welded assemblies, designed and developed orbital welding programs.
