Research Experience:

From October 2010 to October 2015; 5 years of research experience. PhD degree was awarded with the topic entitled “Biochemical studies on the Antidiabetic activity of medicinal plant Heliotropium indicum in STZ induced diabetic rats” Technical Expertise:

Biochemical Techniques: Silica gel column chromatography (absorption), Paper, Thin Layer Chromatography, UV-VIS Spectroscopy, Flow Cytometry analysis.

Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering Techniques: Agarose gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Native-PAGE, Plasmid and genomic DNA isolation, RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, Western blotting, Southern blotting.

Immunochemical Techniques: ELISA, RIA, Immuno-precipitation, raising polyclonal antibodies in rabbits. Immuno-histochemistry, Immuno-cytochemistry and Immuno Fluorescence by Confocal microscopy.

Microbiological Techniques: General techniques for Culturing E.coli and yeast.

Laboratory animals: Proper handling of laboratory animals (rats, mice and hamsters), expertise in oral feeding, intra peritoneal, intra muscular, intra venous injections. Various bleeding methods (tail vein bleeding, retro orbital puncture) and various operations ovariectomy (removal of ovary), castration (removal of testicles). Research Publications:
