RESPOSIBILITIES

MOLD DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE

Planning and vendor allocation of new mould for development.

Floating RFQ and scope of supply of a new mold to be developed.

Cost negotiation with purchase department for offer PO.

Design concept & design review of mold using ProE & AUTO-CAD software.

Daily follow up of the manufacturing status of molds and feed back to vendors.

Mold trials, analyses, rework, validation & commissioning.

Meet the target time for new mold launch in production.

Vendor evaluation and selection as per the product to be developed

Solve the issues and doubts of vendors during mould development.

Suggest the post mold trial action plan and validate the mold with QA & R&D.

Prepare the project development data and report to R & D & plant head.

Plan for renewal, productivity and capacity concern of molds and put in budget.

Mold breakdown control by adopting the mold handling system.

Mold trial, Process establishment, Process optimization.

Improve OEE and productivity/cavitisation of molds.

Support to Tool room In-charge for mold maintenance activities..

Minimize the mold breakdown time by spare arrangement and maintain inventory.

Planning and budgeting the backup mold for isolation and overcapacity.

Plan for refurbishment, modification and ECN work in the mold.

Follow up the trial of mold and sample submission for approval to QA.

Vendor development of raw material and spares in co-ordination with materials and purchase.

Define the mold life and load capacity of molds and demand for new mold requirements.

Calibrations of measuring instruments as/when required.

Preparation and control of budget in the department.
