Systems Analyst April, 2000 – June, 2019

Federal Mogul Corporation, Southfield, MI

Responsible for day to day maintenance and 7 x 24 production support of the North American Branch System (NABS) and the ASI System, which have been Federal Mogul’s ERP Systems for many years. Translated business requirements into programming specifications used in making enhancements to the applications. The NABS system was a mainframe COBOL application using DB2, IMS and JCL. The ASI system was a mainframe COBOL application using DB2, CICS and JCL.

Have been involved in projects to integrate new product line acquisitions, product line plant and warehouse migrations and in product line migrations from NABS to SAP and PLEX ERP Systems using COBOL, DB2, SQL, JCL and IMS, helping Federal Mogul grow the business.

Developed the Accounts Payable System linking NABS to the SAP PP to provide Vendor and Purchase Order details for reconciliation against Invoices received from our vendors. This system was developed in COBOL using DB2, JCL and various mainframe utilities. This enabled Federal Mogul to stay current with their obligations to their suppliers.

Most recently I have been involved with the ongoing Mainframe Elimination Project to move all processing off of the mainframe and onto other ERP Systems such as SAP and PLEX. The project was developed using mainframe COBOL, DB2, FOCUS, JCL, batch SQL, MS Access and various other mainframe utilities. This project led to an annual savings in excess of $1,000,000.

Senior Programmer Analyst August, 1995 – February, 2000

AJILON, Southfield, MI

Assigned to AAA of Michigan, developing COBOL / DB2 extract processes for their Marketing Data Warehouse (MDW) Project. While on this project, I successfully completed the following:

Created requirements and specification, designed, coded, tested and implemented the AAA Michigan and Wisconsin Travel Systems in the MDW.

Created requirements and specification, designed, coded, tested and implemented the AAA Michigan and Wisconsin Automated Triptik Systems in the MDW.

Coded, tested and implemented more than 25 COBOL / DB2 programs and associated jobs for the MDW.

Assigned to Ford Motor Company – Responsible for enhancements and 7 x 24 production support of the North American Marketing and Sales System (NAMSS), Dealer Identification Database (DID). These systems were developed in mainframe COBOL, DB2, IMS DCand JCL. The following are some of the major accomplishments achieved while I was assigned to this project:

Implemented the integration of Ford of Canada and Ford of Mexico to the NAMSS DID System.

Implemented Order to Delivery process in the NAMSS DID System.

Implemented the Production Offered project in the NAMSS DID system.

Implemented various enhancements to the NAMSS Dealer Update System.

Programmer Analyst July, 1986 – August, 1995

Ameritech Services, Southfield, MI

Responsible for design, coding testing and implementation of various large complex Customer Billing, usage reporting and studies programs and jobs using COBOL and JCL.

Responsible for support of both Ameritech internal and external customer support and problem resolution. 7 x 24 Critical production system support for systems billing over $1,000,000 nightly.

Billing Team Lead Analyst.

Responsible for developing project requirements and specifications.

Responsible for training and supervision of incoming Analysts and contract employees to allow them to become productive more quickly.

Supported a major conversion from reel to cartridge tape drive in the Ameritech Unisys Data Center which allowed for faster tape processing and reduced storage space in the tape vault.

Supported the Ameritech Saginaw Data Center relocation.
