My position was located at a client location representing LTI Company as a site Field Service Engineer working with the site’s SME and Technical Service site IT Engineering Team. The day to day duties were to report to SME with strategic planning on supporting and resolving POMS and MES applications incident issues from production manufacturing on the Plant site. Job duties were to monitor the automation MES processing machinery of manufacturing the vaccine drugs packaged daily on site. This is a 3 shift operation that required onsite engineering to monitor and service all of the performing machinery running POMS picklist application. I wrote the development code into existing POMS software to mix product ingredients required to run mixing of the three added color ingredient within this process. Additional duties were to program PLC batch processes for changeover recipes to run different methods for different vaccines. Program changeover meant writing additional code into SAP and POMS / MES to a program weighs, torques and filling heights. PLC Platforms were Siemens PCS7 Simatics, and Allen Bradley processors using Rockwell SLC500, Compactlogix 5000 and Controllogix platforms. For HMI, wonderware ITouch, IFix, POMS, Delta V, Panelview Factory Talk, and RSView were used to operate and control the methods to run. Delta V certification required, I obtained certification.
Duties also included troubleshooting the root cause of equipment malfunctioning, errors, alarms, and communication failures. All maintenance work performed required the assigned Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for specific equipment service performed to.
