●Description :

Distribution network is prone to faults, and intermittency in power availability, it creates powerloss for the supplier as well as user and a challenge to engineers to identify the type of fault and its location. The electricity is also been stolen by the mechanism of hooking from the lines. A GSM based system is developed to identify the fault location and power theft. The developed model works on the principle of the signal transmission from one place to another. Arduino controller is used to implement the model.
