MAIN RESPONSIBILITES / KEY DUTIES
To properly assess, diagnose and classify patient’s hearing disorders in order to plan for appropriate
management.
To conduct Auditory Evoked Potential (AEP) tests.
To be knowledgeable on the different types of AEP’s and properly select which test to assess
different patients.

To prescribe and fit appropriate hearing aid devices to ensure provision of a quality services.
Conduct awareness campaigns throughout the year to educate patients and staff members

Speech Therapist, Doctors including ENT specialists) in order to formulate complementary goals

Providing rehab services to local clinics such as Umzinto Clinic, Dududu Clinic, Mandawe Clinic,
Umgangeni Clinic and Pennington Clinic by making optimum use of local resources in order to
address the broader needs of people with disabilities, ensuring their participation and inclusion in
society and enhancing their quality of life.
To keep up to date statistics and patient records in order to manage patient progress.
