We have a development and engineering center in Chennai (India). Alfanar produce Power distribution and control, Electrical switches and sockets, cables and wires, transformers, Lighting, MCB and MCCB, steel fabrication.

Work Profile: (NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND IN PROCESS QUALITY)

Sample Inspection for New product development / Incoming quality of different type of RM SFG METAL PARTS, PALSATIC PARTS as per sampling plan.

Testing and Inspection of Raw material, tooled-up components, plastics etc. using in-house facility.

Confirm avaibility of drawing with appropriate revision, 5No’s of sample in case of single/dual cavity otherwise 1 sample per cavity, control plan, previous SIR (Sample inspection report), request form etc. as applicable.

Visually check if the component is as per drawing or certain feature missing/defective..

If the component is with burr/flash, measure approximate value of burr/flash in case of press/machined and moulded components respectively, also capture an image for the report.

Carefully remove excessive flash/burr from the component.

In case of any ambiguity in drawing and control plan, clarify with design and quality respectively.

In case of press/machined part, always place the component as per drawing, in case not in drawing place on non-formed flat surface, in case no such surface is available special/standard locating fixture to be used .

Avoid resting of bend part, the dimension has to be measured near bend as well as away bend unless otherwise specified.

Holding Component- Correct Methodology.

In case of moulded part, always place the component on non-warped/draft/shrinked flat surface, in case no such surface available special/standard locating fixture to be used.

Analysis of Mechanical properties like Microstructure analysis, hardness, Mechanical strength, Density, weldability/brazeability etc of raw material.

Analysis of Different platings (Silver, Nickel, Zinc/Cobalt etc), Plating thickness measurement, Corrosion/Wear resistance tests etc.

Sound Knowledge of Precision Measuring instruments like Measuring Microscope (TMM), Profile projector, Digital Height Gauge, CMM, Hardness Tester, Micrometer, Universal tensile testing, Roughness tester, Mold making, Chemical composition analysis (XRF Analyzer), Compression/ Torque spring tester, Density tester, Standard and nonstandard gauges

Preparing Report in SIR (Sample inspection report) Format.
