Intact: As a child welfare specialists I identified and assessed allegations of child abuse and neglect. To ensure that reasonable efforts are made to maintain and protect children in their own homes as long as their safety is not at risk. Duties included, managing a caseload of children and families, receiving and investigating referrals for possible abuse and neglect and completing assessments. Also complete reports for the district attorney and attend court hearings, as well as testify in court cases. Completed functional and strengths-based assessment on each client to evaluate the need for service. Provided mental health counseling individual/group therapy. This staff implemented Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) using rehabilitation values, principles and techniques, including skills training. Provided training to team members to maintain adherence to the standards of Medicaid Rehabilitation Option service delivery and documentation. Also, maintain a tracking system to support adherence to state and federal documentation standards for clients served by the team. Position also included concurrent documentation.
