Aug 2007 – Dec 2009 Due to the growth of Emirates’ National School the Girls’ School was separated from KG and PRE-KG, and I was made the Vice-principal of the new Girls Branch, in August 2009. I was responsible for supporting and leading my team of teachers and administrators. I supported the planning and implementing of the MYP curriculum, providing help to the teachers who had not worked with MYP before as well as providing overall support of all aspects of teaching. I worked with parents to ensure appropriate support was given to all our students at home as well as at school. I ensured all policies and procedures were in place for the school to operate smoothly.
As vice-principal of KG,PRE-KG and Girls school, since August 2007 to August 2009, my duties included supervising and supporting the teaching and the administrative staff in fulfilling their duties. I supported the introduction as well as the implementation of PYP for the KG school and MYP for the Girls’ school. I supervised planning sessions with teachers, supported teachers with discipline issues in their classes as well as the school generally. As a partner and I was responsible for finding appropriate location and buildings for each of the centers, and for making sure that appropriate staff were employed and all guidelines from Unicef and the government were followed, and appropriate supporting documents were made available to the authorities. I run, supervised and supported the staff, arranged suitable training courses for the staff and ensured that the centers were (Women Youth, PRE-KG and KG) running according to the latest techniques and methods and staff maintained a high quality of service. We tried to take charge of maintaining the centers service towards the communities in which they were established and these centers are still operating until the present time.
