• Worked closely with southern Sudan Minister of Internal Affairs to increase capacity of local police forces and upgrade public image of police

• Cooperated with bilateral donors such as US INL and NGOs to target donor funding directed at Rule of Law and Law Enforcement programs in South Sudan

• Implemented training program for thousands of police in southern Sudan in Basic Training and training for a wide variety of necessary policing activities

• Coordinated with US Special Envoy to Sudan that resulted in direct US government donation of essential equipment to SSPS including fifty (50) vehicles

UNMIS UNPOL Mission Legal Advisor, Khartoum Sudan

• Managed all UNMIS UNPOL attorneys and a number of other UNMIS UNPOL legal experts to give legal guidance and training to both the UNMIS UNPOL and to Sudanese governmental units

• Wrote or modified all of the Police Commissioner directives which were the documents that directed the mission for the UNMIS UNPOL

• Served as mission strategic advisor for two Police Commissioners

• Acting Chief of Staff for UNMIS UNPOL mission on numerous occasions – also deployed to South as UNPOL Region South Chief of Staff and then Acting Deputy Police Commissioner (DPC) Region South for two months when then DPC ended mission.
