Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology, Purdue University – Fort Wayne, Indiana

Work Experience

Senior Product Test or Process Engineer

•Led troubleshooting to address component-level failure by working with engineers and operators to diagnose the root cause, and identifying internal and process deficiencies. Adapted assembly processes to meet industry changes and address component failures by vendors.

•Utilized vast experience in processes (SMT equipment and assembly processes), and testing, also conducted regular process walks, and implemented adjustments within the process and test venues. Reduced process time and damage to product assembly by designing processes and fixtures to be error-proof.

•Trained and mentored engineers and hourly operators, teaching cross-functional teams in areas of production processes, facility-wide testing, FPGAs, PMDs (program module devices), and ICs. Streamlined the process and improved efficiencies through documentation on programming modules and devices.

•Leveraged Lean methodologies of surface mount equipment, assembly, and test processes in addition to programming FPGAs, and PROM’s programming machines while implementing OSOPs (operational standard operating procedures) in the process and test planning to identify how operators worked through procedures. Identified conflicts between plans and implementation of processes.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

L3Harris - Fort Wayne, IN June 2021 to April 2024

•Create detailed operating procedures to construct or assemble the assembles.

•Responsible for developing processes to create the electronic control system and cables to ensure proper assembly.

•Interpreted and updated as-needed blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports for product conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

•Designed and error-proofed new and existing fixtures to ensure the processes were set correctly from the beginning.

•Implemented Lean methodologies to evaluate processes and determine opportunities for improvement to avoid critical failure and streamline the process. Set fixtures at the set-up stage to reduce potential incorrect assembly.

•Led continuous improvements in engineering resulting in clearer product design standards, better manufacturability, and reduced engineering cycle times.

•Maintained clean and well-organized FOD-free production areas to avoid violations or unnecessary work delays due to hazards or inefficient layouts.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Pfizer - Kalamazoo, MI January 2021 to June 2021

•Reviewed initiated and implemented new equipment for a new product line within the facility

•Updated documentation and drawing of a new product line for the facility.

Senior Product Test Engineer

BAE Systems - Fort Wayne, IN March 2016 to September 2020

Responsible for developing hardware and test programs for electronic control systems to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues at the test level. Continued responsibility for addressing any issues occurring as a process issue.

•Troubleshoot aircraft engine & flight control systems including diagnosing analog and digital failures.

•Led cross-functional and collaborative meetings with engineers and operators to compare and address needs resulting in open communication and the breakdown of silos to improve efficiencies and enhance quality.

•Frequently called on as SME to provide guidance and leverage a unique combination of process and testing acumen to guide team members to solutions.

•Drove continuous improvement culture in engineering to provide clear product design standards, improving manufacturability through product documentation and reducing engineering cycle times.

•Recommended software solutions assisted, with building custom software proposals, and developed presentations.

•Realized a savings of 365 hours of equipment set-up time (approximately $30K in annual savings) by developing fixture tests and adjusting fixtures to reduce operator error.

Senior Product Process Engineer

BAE Systems

2003 to 2017

•Developed programs for surface mount equipment and all assembly processes, including fixtures, documenting process instructions, and making processes more robust and failure-free. Error-proofed the process to ensure fixtures were set correctly from the beginning.

•Prepared product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

•Interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports for product conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
