Manage all facilities and production equipment for the Beulaville and Wallace, NC plants. Consisting of a 130,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, 15,000 sq ft tech center, and 18.000 sq ft toolroom/ inventory building in Beulaville. Wallace facility encompasses 8 acres with a 60,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Manage maintenance staff of >10 associates between two shifts, spare parts, ordering spare parts, facility and equipment budgets, equipment uptime, and continuous improvements. Train associates within safety, best practices, and mechanics with the equipment daily. Oversee all facility contracts for HVAC, warranty service, grounds, facilities fire protection systems, and state and county EPA/ certifications. Facilities include >15 units 1.5-100 ton HVAC systems, generators, and compressors. Production equipment includes CNC, milling, welding, drilling, cutting, robots, and electrostatic paint line.

Manage department equipment, technical support, spare parts (>3 mil), monthly and annual budgets, equipment uptime, and continuous improvements. Reported on equipment downtime and spare parts budget through KPI’s. Lead all aspects of new, continuous improvement, and multi-touch projects from budgeting, ordering, assembly, debug, and implementation. Collected data from machine efficiencies for continuous improvement projects and budget justification. Implemented and reviewed preventative maintenance programs and adjusted frequency through proven inspection/ time methods. Designed, co-designed and managed all new projects within the department’s Hoshin Kanri, resulting in a one million dollar savings across multiple lines of equipment annually. Managed associates including training on safety, best practices, and mechanical progress with the equipment. Supervised up to 16 direct report salary technicians covering all of the mechanical aspects of the departments equipment on a quarterly, annual or, as needed basis. Mentored, coached, and taught hourly mechanics on best work practices, JSA’s, MP’s, and SOP’s.
Improved project build times for plant goals by working overseas on equipment build collaborations in Foshan and Guangzhou, China and Augsburg, Herbrechtingen, and Berlin, Germany. This allowed successful completion of equipment line build ahead of schedule and below budget (<10 mil) of a (>13 mil). This process allowed the implementation of the new equipment into the Hillsboro, NH plant. Improved equipment installation time, implementation, debug, equipment knowledge, processes and QA of the first forward facing H11 headlamp in the US. This project was a first for Osram Sylvania to build different sections of a single equipment line globally.
