Ed Miniat, LLC, Carrollton, GA Engineering Manager: Managed manufacturing engineering for a cooked meat facility during expansion of processes and facility • Implemented automated cooling process for Sous Vide cooked meats. ($1.2M) • Oversaw equipment rebuilds, new equipment purchases, mechanical and electrical installation of production line with flame sear capability into Sous Vide process. Including raw, cook and secondary processing; dicing, slicing and shredding of cooked product through final packaging. ($4.6M) • Managed interior building remodel and new equipment installation to meet and exceed customer requirements for a new product launch. Included removal of existing floors, walls, spiral freezer, subfloor and plumbing while maintaining clean production area adjacent to construction. Installed new plumbing, floors, walls, roof structural support, ventilation units, gas, refrigeration, water, air, fire protection, boiler, fryer, rollstock machines, X- rays, inspection equipment, dumpers, conveyors, scales, etc to support the new product. Tyson Foods, St. Joseph, MO. Plant Engineer: Responsible for managing capital projects for the facility with an annual capital budget of $4-12 million. Two manufacturing facilities with 400K square feet. Producing Hillshire Brands finished products. Oversees and leads the Utilities team of 17 operators and a supervisor. Utilities included the ammonia refrigeration system, steam boilers, air compressors, hot water systems, buildings and waste water.
5/2/13 – 7/31/15 Technical Manager
CertainTeed Siding, McPherson, KS: Manage Engineering, Process Control and Quality Departments in a 25K squares per month production facility. Manage the capital budgeting, equipment installation and qualification, and capitalization of assets to ensure full scope completion on time and under budget. Develop Statistical Process Control for critical parameters to ensure product quality.
