-Multi-site responsibility on Process and Product Development managing a team of 39 engineers on 3 sites

-It was implementing US$ 10M cost savings projects, developing teamwork and synergies to achieve the product and process best practices between the all 3 steel Special Bar Quality plants.

-Coordinate the Quality System TS 16946 on multi-site with focus on standardization;

-Responsible for US$ 260M CAPEX projects’ implementation, developing new Product and Processes.

-Carrying out Gerdau Business System. This is the management process developed by Gerdau to standardize through all organization the same best practice for all areas. Introduce 6 Sigma tools.

-Develop new process R&D attending automotive steel application with direct contact with automakers.

-Active member of SAP implementation team with good results replacing the old enterprise system.

Gerdau Long Product North America (Perth Amboy, NJ, plant) (2005 - 2008)

Metallurgical Service Manager, overseeing Quality, Technical Services, Production Scheduling and Product Development

-Responsible for Quality System ISO 9001, Quality Department, Final Inspection and process definition and development. Coordinated effort between local and Brazilian Gerdau billet supplier for US Wire Rod (CHQ) application, resulting in higher quality product and great customer satisfaction in very short time 6 months.

-Created a more profitable base of products for Gerdau GSL, working closely to sales department developing wire rod application and improving the process performance.

-Introduced Gerdau Business System.

-Coordinated Production Planning for whole plant, safety, reducing production lead time and improving wire rod rolling mill performance in terms of quality and operational down time (improved 20%).

Gerdau S/A Aços Finos Piratini (1993 - 2004)

Marketing/Products and Customer Service Manager, Quality Manager and Executive Engineer

-Standardized policies on Sales, Marketing, After Sales and Customer Service amongst Brazil, Latin America and North America, resulting in US$ 40M sales increase.

-Introduced 6 Sigma concepts to reduce Quality problems with work teams with 9,5% savings on first year and average of 3.5 % year after year.

-Implemented US$ 100M CAPEX, new Ring Rolling deformation process. Resulting on new product line extra 2.000t/y.
