Stow:

Day-to-day task of picking, scanning and placing items in storages shelves in a fast and efficient manner. Maintaining a minimum rate of scanning and putting away items (around 450 items an hour) along with following the right procedure to operate a handheld scanner.

Decant:

Responsible for the process of removing items or inner packs from their original shipping containers and placing them into totes for automated storage systems

Learning Ambassador:

Assist, train, and onboard new Amazon associates in their transitions into the warehouse including explaining rules and policies, train, coach, and motivate in the proper processes of their department, provide guidance in relation to their path setting and being successful in helping productivity, as well as perform audits based on their performance. The opportunity to ask for help open conversation for the ability of barriers to be removed was also an important role in this position.

Amazon Away Team (2) Associate:

Assist in the launching of a new Fulfillment Center. Assist in the process of training new Amazon associates along with providing guidance to in setting them on their path to success in the facility.

TDR and PIT Employee

Trailer Dock Releasing (TDR) was a role where ensuring shipment trucks are safely secured to the intended dock door and gear is in stable operation. TDR is a job at Amazon that only certified associates who have gone through training are allowed to do. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) is a positions that includes various tasks like loading and unloading trailers on the dock. I am still active in each of these skillsets/positions.

QUALITY CONTROL, MEGA MET INDUSTRIES, BIRMINGHAM, AL — 2019 TO 2020

Inspect doors and frames for imperfections. Inspect and examine measurements to ensure they meet company standards prior to shipment.

Train new employees on plant procedures, productions, quality control, and safety. Supervise daily department manpower allocations and production. Report unsafe working conditions. Allocate workers on machines to get the most out of production.
