VOLUNTEER WORK
Coordinated transportation and lodging for more than 2000 displaced soldiers and vets during Hurricane country. This was a multi military movement the Army and Airforce we located and remove soldiers and vetsfrom shelters in Lousiana and Mississippi coordinated with local hotels in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee for temporary lodging. Worked with FEMA and American Red Cross to find permenant homes for displaced members that could not return to their homes. While stationed in New Yorkstarted a program to get homeless soldiers off thestreets. We contracted with HUD and otherdepartments to secure apartments or rooms for soldiers. Worked with the Army on the suicide hotlineto take care of soldiers in crisis. Worked with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for veterans that were homeless all vets and their families had to volunteer time in building of their homes.
Worked with the local Family Readiness Group leader to ensure over 200 soldiers had meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also setup with local businesses for bike donations that were assemblied by Soldiers for vets and their families.
