Home Credit - Credit Risk Model Stability

Description: This is a competition on Kaggle to predict which clients are more likely to default on their loans. The evaluation will favor solutions that are stable over time. At the end of the competition, my team ranked 66th out of 3,883 participants and won a silver medal.

Responsibilities:

Perform EDA.

Run the old baseline with different methods for encoding categorical data such as Count Encoding, Target Encoding, Label Encoding, and WOE Encoding.

Train the model and test it using various feature selection methods. Ensemble the models with different weights (manually tuned), and tune hyperparameters in metric hack. Write the report sections on Introduction, Machine Learning Models, and Experiments. Give a presentation.

We tackled this task using large-scale data from an online learning platform, specifically the MOOCCubeX dataset. Responsibilities:

Data cleaning, EDA, and data preparation for the model. Training and fine-tuning models for recommendation tasks: KGAT, MF, FM, NFM, etc. Evaluation and testing on metrics: Recall@K, NDCG, etc. Writing reports and presentations.

Scene text detection and recognition on Vietnamese Description: This is a problem of detecting and recognizing Vietnamese text on advertisements with images taken in Vietnamese scenery. We use two models, DBNetpp and Parseq, for the respective Detection and Recognition tasks. The problem is tested and evaluated on the VinText dataset, yielding quite good results. Responsibilities:

Train and fine-tune the Parseq model for the text recognition stage. Test the entire pipeline with evaluation metrics such as HmeanIOUMetric for the Detection stage; Accuracy and OneMinusNED for the Recognition stage.

Write the app API to demo the product.
