Handle high volumes of auto claims, while applying knowledge of state statues and insurance regulations; verify coverage, legal liability and the extent of damage to first and third-party injuries; establish liability.

Set-up vehicle inspections, rental reservations and towing; conduct the interviewing of claimants and witnesses, inspect property damage, and discuss claim results with managers, policyholders and staff.

Prepare reports and drive the negotiation of settlements; recommend litigation when necessary.

Interprets damage appraisal reports, identify subrogation opportunities; refer claims to salvage for total loss and subrogation if warranted.

Educate and inform insureds on policy coverage and all areas of the claims process; work with and supervise the work of independent adjusters and miscellaneous vendors.

Research and determined coverage by examining claim forms, policies, and police and medical records; interview claimants, insureds and witnesses.

Handle litigation claims through company protocol/guidelines and advises attorneys on status.
