Many new instructional materials were developed by me for this training. These retraining material & efforts resulted in substantial savings for to UNC and specifically CEBS.

08/2014: Conducted eight hours of professional development for over 100 Co-Teaching volunteer cooperating teachers, building principals and UNC elementary and secondary student teacher candidates on August 4, 2014. Presentation evaluations very positive. Result of attending Train the Trainer Conference in early May 2015.

This no-cost training opportunity allowed Elementary PTEP to transition to a combined EDEL 454 Student Teaching/Capstone experience, a preliminary part of the Elementary PTEP Revision, with no significant costs to UNC or CEBS.

Research, Awards, Publications & Presentations (con’t): 01/2014: Placed 15 Seoul National University of Education exchange students in two partner schools for a two-week volunteer practicum experience. These exchange students were placed at Dunn IB World Elementary School in Ft. Collins and University Charter Elementary School in Greeley. I continued to monitor their progress as well as the satisfaction of our partner schools with the arrangement. Final evaluation showed a most positive experience for both students and partner schools. 12/2013-present: Professional reviewer for the MID-WESTERN EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH JOURNAL, two journal articles formally reviewed and returned to Editor. 2013-2014: Reviewer for presentation proposals for the 2014 National Field Experience Conference held at UNC, April 2014.

12/2013: Finalized volunteer candidate selection and training for coaching and mentoring undergraduate Elementary Teacher Candidates for the Pilot Action-Research Project to be implemented in January 2014.

12/2013: Drafted Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Placement of Korean Exchange Teacher Candidates for 2-week Practicum Placement in two area UNC Partner Schools. 11/2013: Wrote I (Innovation) at UNC! Proposal for Action Research for Undergraduate Elementary PTEP teacher candidates.

10-12/2013: Collaborated with Center for International Education personnel and STE faculty to design and implement a two-week practicum experience for Seoul National University of Education (SNUE) teacher candidates in two UNC Partner Schools.
