Joe Bloemer has been employed by SEI Brakes, Inc. since April 1998 as a Cost Accounting Specialist. He has reported to me since January 1999.
Joe has demonstrated his technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing concepts in carrying out the cost accounting role. He works independently, solves problems on his own and takes responsibility for his work. He has a thorough understanding of our ERP system and had a key role in the upgrade of the system in 1999. Joe has always completed month end and year-end closing adjustments timely and with good documentation.
Joe's position requires him to interact with others in the finance department as well as individuals in other departments. In the course of his job he has developed good working relationships with others. HIS duties have required him to lead meetings and coordinate• activities with various departments and affiliated companies regarding Cost Estimation Requests. Joe Bloemer was employed as our cost accountant beginning 4/30/07,
Joe was charged with the responsibility of gathering, organizing, and analyzing cost data for our domestic manufacturing concerns, which included multiple conveyor roller lines, plastic parts and whole conveyor systems.
Joe was successful in accurately re-costing thousands of our products, therefore providing extremely useful information to other departments within our company. Most imponantly, his work enabled us to increase our profit margin as we had a much better idea of our products' cost.
Based upon his success with our operations here, Joe was sent to our manufacturing concern in China to aid them in establishing proper accounting and costing controls and to help convert the Chinese software system to one that we used in the USA.
Joe's expertise in the costing field, coupled with his dogged determination to see projects to a successful conclusion, helped us to achieve our goals.
Throughout Joe's time with the company, he was insüumental in forging a solid working relationship between the various departments. He not only could work well with others, but showed others how to work well with each other. He helped wherever he saw help was needed,
Regretfully, due to the economic downturn our company was forced to downsize, and Joe lost his job on 2/27/09.
If the economy would ever right itself, I would jump on the chance to ask Joe to come back and work for us again.
