Employment History

**** – Present: Executive Director, Muenster Chamber of Commerce

In this position I am ultimately responsible for the total operations of the Muenster Chamber of Commerce.

Public Leadership:

•Engage, recruit, and cultivate prospective and current chamber members to sustain and grow the membership and engagement of the Muenster Chamber of Commerce.

•Work directly with the Chairman of the Board in setting direction and determining annual program of work. Act as the Chamber representative to organizations in the community.

•Design, lead, coordinate, and facilitate all revenue producing programs.

•Visibility – City Council, County Commissioners Court, community events, and serve as President of the Red River Valley Chambers.

Internal Leadership:

•Interpret and develop policy

•Sign all contracts

•Develop sources of non-dues revenues

•Monitors membership recruitment/retention efforts

•Create all publications and marketing efforts, including maintenance of Chamber website

•Collaborate with President of the Board for annual planning

•Maintain the Chamber building

Current Activities and Revenue Producing Programs

•Annual Chamber banquet

•Monthly Member Mixers

•Ribbon Cuttings

•Germanfest and Oktoberfest – two German-themed festivals that draw vendors and visitors from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and beyond.

•Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer activities for all festivals and events

•Recruit vendors, bands, and sponsors for events

Finances:

•Recommend annual budget and constantly monitor financial position

•Deliver monthly progress report to Executive committee and Board of Directors

•Run all Chamber finances, including

•Paying all expenses

•Entering all income and expense into spreadsheet and Quickbooks

•Reconciling finances monthly and preparation of financial reports for Board

•Annual billing to sustaining membership

•Payroll

•Ensure the 990 filing has been completed

Skills:

•Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva

•Public speaking/presentation abilities, including radio and television appearances

•Professional appearance

•Organizational abilities

•Willingness for collaboration

•Ability to be firm but polite, and remain neutral on political/community issues
