SRS Production Manager – overseeing the startup of a new production facility for this company. Worked with the engineering group to develop the equipment needs and placement per the layout. Facilities Manager – overseeing the entire production facility for this startup company. Responsible for all purchasing decision for the entire facility from office supplies, equipment to materials for production.
·Ensure efficient and timely production of goods.
·Develop processes, procedures and work instructions for all production areas and ensure they are adhered too. Implement RFQ process of obtaining a minimum of three quotes or more to ensure that we are receiving the best pricing and delivery times.
·Send out RFQ’s for all process’ that we are not able to do in house. Including machining of parts too large for our equipment, laser cutting, welding, fabricating, and finishing. Work with vendors to obtain the best pricing and lead times. Generate POs for all outside processes.
·Being a startup company, we do quarterly inventory reports for approximately a million dollars’ worth of inventory. Everything is SEC regulated to provide safety to investors. Work to make sure we have a balance inventory and know what items we can maintain a JIT inventory level and what items have longer lead times to make sure we do not run out of those items.
·Work with various shipping companies to obtain quotes for shipping costs for incoming products and orders being shipped to customers.
·Review and modify prints and models using SolidWorks CAD program with our engineering team.
·Work with sales team to fulfill orders and give proper lead times for when customers can expect to receive shipments.
·Assisted in implementing MRP system, NetSuite, for vendor, inventory, and production control.
