Objective
I would like to continue what I have been doing for the past 56 years. My life has been surrounded by hospitals and doctor’s offices. I would like a job as a medical transcriptionist or editor.
EXPERIENCE
09/1966 -09/1974
Worked in Medical Records as a Medical Transcriptionist and Historian.
09/1974-03/1997
Office Manager and administrative assistant to an OB-GYN Practice.
I managed a team of 7 nurses and 3 assistants.
03/1997 to 11/1997
Worked at Crown Corporation as an administrative assistant to
the lead sales staff.
11/1997 to 2000
I moved across the state to get married and did quite a few temporary jobs.
2000-04/2017
I was hired by a company called EDiX and started my home-based career. I was a medical transcriptionist/editor. The company was eventually bought out by quite a few different companies and I was eventually working with M*Modal as a senior healthcare documentation analyst. Due to enormous job loss of our work being sent to our company in India, I eventually left because of lack of work.
05/2017 – 09/2017
I worked for Nuance TranscriptionService, again as a MT and Master Editor. Shortly after I started working there, a viral attack on the company was made, and we all did not work for over a month. Due to loss of many major customers, therefore resulting in low work load. Again, I find myself looking for another job.
11/2017 to Present
Working for Mediscribes as a medical transcriptionist and editor. I have worked on various accounts and medical specialties. I love my job and cannot imagine doing anything else.

I think that the 23 years I spent being the administrative assistant for a doctor’s office says it all. I have done transcription, payroll, tax management and managed 7 employees.
I love being a medical transcriptionist/editor and there is nothing more that I would like to be doing as a home-based employee. I have a total of over 56 years of experience doing this, and I am sure I am exactly what you are looking for.
