Fixing medication problems
I was lead office assistant for three years at the Westland location. This position includes but is not limited to working closely with my manager in creating employees weekly schedules, some billing, conducting employee meetings, getting their feed back on work flow issues or suggestions on changes that should be made, tending to patients needs such as talking to patients when they are not satisfied or have questions. I also get the office and other BOAS prepared for joint commission walk through. I sit in with interviews and give feed back afterwards, I train new employees, create new work processes for work flow issues, stand as a role model for other business office assistants, such as helping them with issues with patients, issues using epic, money or billing questions, navigating the office and supplies. I make sure our front office and phone room is running smoothly as well as attending to work flow issues and patient issues, keeping up on copies as needed, making sure there are enough supplies, and PCMH is completed along with medication requests, telephone calls/questions are completed by end of each day. I’m also able to help out doctors and medical staff with certain questions or concerns they may have within their patients regarding their insurances and their experience While waiting to be seen.
I am Very approachable and compassionate. I always put the patients or the costumers first. I’m Considerate of others. I’m able to calmly explain issues and walk through things that are sometimes confusing. I keep going with a task even when it seems impossible to finish. I come up with great ideas to better our locations, or ideas to help others. As well as work flow processes I’m Very organized and clean. I always Go above and beyond for anyone and everything I do within my abilities. I’m willing to learn new skills.
