Job Summary:

Information Systems Technician Submarines: Led, managed and maintained IT environments integral to cross-functional operations of submarine missions. Managed multiple IT based projects simultaneously for submarines in various maintenance availabilities. Ensured technical support was provided in a timely fashion and information on emerging threats to IT systems were shared to all submarines. Administered and maintained the submarine's local area network (LAN), ensuring optimal operation and adherence to hardware and software standards across command and outlying detachments.

Electronics Technician Submarine Communications: Led, managed and maintained communications systems integral to cross-functional operations of submarine missions. Managed various command level matrixed projects essential to mission functions to include mechanical, electrical and IT environments.

During shore duty at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY), was selected to be the IT technical support team lead at code 210.1. This role was critical in the oversight of multiple IT projects for 16 submarines in the Western Pacific fleet, managing technical support efforts of varying sizes and complexities. This role involved working closely with technical team members such as the program of record (POR) office, in-service engineering agents (ISEA) and various other auxiliary support teams, to ensure the IT systems’ mission readiness.

While on shore duty, rose to the position of Leading Petty Officer (LPO) for code 210.1. Led sailors through multiple training, maintenance and inspection environments. Providing invaluable support to submarines and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) & IMF.

Planned, tested, and configured network systems for Squadrons, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network switches, routers, and servers supporting LAN activities.

Analyzed and resolved technical issues by documenting problems, tracking interruptions, and developing reports to enhance future problem resolution strategies.

Provided technical support, training, and orientation for software installations, hardware configurations, and network communication, facilitating efficient data access and program recovery.

As the lead Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) has designed, assessed and minimized system and program vulnerabilities via Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA) inspections on afloat units.

Reviewed new system vulnerabilities, assessing and proposing security recommendations for afloat units.

Managed and maintained NIPR, SIPR, and TS/SCI servers, including virtual servers, applications, and backup systems essential for submarine operations.

Resolved over 170 Navy 311/Naval Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) trouble tickets for 16 submarines, demonstrating strong problem-solving and support capabilities.

Integral in the execution of 14 Total Ships Readiness Assessments as well as spearheading the configuration and implementation of the Windows 20H2 Enterprise Update across multiple submarines. Thus, illustrating project management skills and the ability to implement significant updates and upgrades in complex environments.

While on sea duty, was selected as the Leading Petty Officer (LPO) of the Management Information Center (MIC) onboard USS Santa Fe. This role provided valuable experience in the coordination of drydock operations between military and shipyard workers. This role was critical in crafting detailed plans and reports for the command, which were essential in ensuring the quality of project outcomes.

During sea duty, was chosen to be the Leading Petty Officer (LPO) of Communications Division and Sail Coordinator for USS Santa Fe. This role provided valuable experience in coordinating with various agencies for the installation of carry-on equipment, as well as managing both preventative and corrective maintenance for the ship’s external communications systems.
