JOB DESCRIPTION
Carry out maintenance and repairs of various types of Rotating Equipments such as Gas Generators and Turbines, Air and Gas Compressors, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Emergency Generators and Firewater Pumps. This includes regular monitoring and rectifications of defective equipment. Carries out independently or under instruction.
Leading and assisting vendor representative during preventive, corrective, breakdown, shutdown, turnaround maintenance in the Super Complex.
Routine maintenance and repairs of Firewater Pumps and Emergency Generator Caterpillar Engine. Regular tasks include monitoring the engines and auxiliary equipment, conducting periodic inspections, and ensuring that all machinery is lubricated and functioning at optimum levels. Performs engine startup, priming pump, adjusting engine speed and pump valves, laying hose, appropriate nozzle use, effective use of water and additives. Inspects, checks, services and adjusts the pump, hose lays, tank and reels for equipment readiness.
Attends requests from Direct Supervisor for maintenance of different rotating equipment and packages like gas turbines, gas compressors, gear boxes, diesel engines, air compressors, various pumps, mechanical seals, Dry Gas seals, Fan coolers, auxiliary systems of rotating equipments, utility packages and material handling equipments.
Carry out Level 1 (4,000 hrs) and level 2 (25,000 hrs) maintenance of GE Gas Turbine (LM 2500+). This includes Water Wash, Borescope of Axial Compressor, Combustor and Gas Generator, Visual Inspection of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary air Intake Filters, Changing of Filters, Inspection of Chip Detectors of Sumps and gear boxes..
Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on a variety of Caterpillar Engines specifically C 175-20 and C3508. Collaborating with the broader team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of Caterpillar equipment. Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Carry out Laser Alignment of Pumps and Motors using Rotalign Smart Ex.
