Letters of recommendation
To the hiring manager:
Trying to encapsulate Brian Bradway’s depth and breadth of talent in a few paragraphs is a tall order. If I write that he can do it all, you might think I’m being trite or hyperbolic. But I’m serious, when it comes to visual art, the man can literally do it all. He’s a free-hand illustrator, a computer-aided 3-D modeler (he can create entire worlds with that thing), a cartoonist, an animated filmmaker, a motion graphics whiz, and, oh yeah, an award- winning, creative-director level graphic designer. The man thinks visually, all the time. In creative meetings, while other people might be taking notes, he’s sketching on his beloved graph paper. Graphic design is just how he interfaces with the world. Then he has the rare gift of being able to communicate with people across disciplines, making him the ultimate team player.
I’ve seen 10 people dump a mess of opinions in his lap, and he comes back a few hours later with a half-dozen fully realized concepts that make of sense of it all. I’ve seen him do it more than once, too.
Did you know he’s a children’s book illustrator? That he won a nationwide contest to design a T- shirt for Hall of Fame rock legends KISS? This stuff just doesn’t happen to regular people. Do you want to immediately strengthen your design team? Give it a solid anchor while keeping it shooting for the heavens? Turn out jaw-dropping work with none of the drama often associated with creative types?
Then the next move is yours. Hire Brian Bradway.
Sincerely,
Daryl R. Dirham

To whom it may concern:
Brian Bradway is an asset.
Brian is an atypical creative director. He marries creativity with common sense. The result? Wildly artistic expressions of concepts that can be captured, understood and acted upon. During his many years at my firm, I’ve watched Brian storytell through static images, motion graphics, video and 3D illustrations. He’ll tell you from the start: “Message drives creative.” As a writer, it’s been a joy to craft a message and watch Brian transform it into something that grabs the attention of the audience. His ingenuity recently helped my firm reinvent a local Salvation Army chapter that is anything but red-kettle focused. His designs moved grown men to tears during our pitch session. His talent should get him in your door. His character will keep him there.Brian is trustworthy, reliable and composed. He leads by example and through calm instruction. He manages change in stride. He builds camaraderie - with coworkers and clients.
In short: Hire him. Brian Bradway will make your organization stronger. If you’d like additional information, contact me at 330-***-****. Best regards,
