Working at Dairy Queen, my job was either cooking and preparing food, cashier, cleaning and making ice cream. Every day we were given a different role whether it was being in the cook station, ice cream station, or being a cashier for lobby or drive thru. I was able to learn many things and grow as I started. When I would cook, I would properly prepare food following all food preparation instructions, safely cook food to it’s correct temperature, clean my station as I finished orders, and making sure everything was fresh and up to expectations.
When I was making ice cream, I learned how to be careful with cross contamination, clean around my work station, learn from my mistakes, and how everything should look like before it would be served to a customer.
Working as cashier, I was able to learn to detect fake bills, how to handle money properly, how to greet customers with appropriately and respectful, learned how to take orders and listen to everything a customer told me especially if they had a food allergy. Education

My name is Jorge Villalvazo, I am currently 19 and now a graduate from Eisenhower High school. I’m continuing my education at Chaffey College then hopefully I plan to transfer to Cal State University San Bernardino. I always try my best to be as welcoming and positive in a workplace environment even when put into tough situations. I will always serve a customer the best to my ability and always make sure they get treated the way they deserve. I am a very talkative and social person once I get used to crowd of people I’m with. I wanna bring change into my life and get more of a responsibility and maturity aspect by working so I can grow into a better and stronger person.
