Experience Summary
I served 6 years in the U.S. Army (Active Duty) as a 68W Health Care Specialist/ Combat Medic. During my Army service, I was deployed to Afghanistan with the 31st Combat Support Hospital in 2010 for a year-long deployment. My responsibilities included working as an EMT in the E.R. of the role-3 hospital at Camp Dwyer, transporting patients to and from the patient flight line, and being crossed trained as a X-ray tech and O.R. tech to help fulfill the responsibilities of an understaffed role 2 hospital in Bala Morghab. I also have over 13 years of experience in civilian hospitals as a Certified Nursing Assistant and E.R. Tech.
I am a licensed EMT-B, with BLS, and a Certified Medical Assistant. One of my last phlebotomist positions was with Gamma Healthcare Inc. (2019-2020) as a mobile phlebotomist. I also worked previously as an E.R. Tech (2011-2016), for 5 years, at Baptist Downtown Medical Center (BMC) in San Antonio, TX. My responsibilities at BMC included: phlebotomy, EKGs, recording vital signs, cleaning and changing patients, and transferring patients throughout the floors of the hospital. I’ve also worked previously as a phlebotomist, specimen collector, and courier for American Heath Associates (2016-2017) and CPL Labs (2018-2019).
